The first campaign DLC for Borderlands 2 didn't offer much in the way of refreshingly new content, but it didn't really have to: it was basically just more Borderlands 2, and that's all anyone wanted anyway. The rewards are a little sparse compared to other DLC, but the joy of the holidays made up for it. It's a non-denominational winter celebration with excellent humor and a hard-rocking holiday-inspired boss-fight soundtrack. This bite-sized Headhunters Pack seasonal-themed DLC had you guiding your favorite Borderlands 2 vault hunter to the snowy wonderland of Gingerton. Featuring a very Borderlands-ey take on the classic heist-movie formula, it has you infiltrating the casino previously owned by Handsome Jack, and once that old familiar Borderlands gameplay rhythm hits, it hits right. As for Borderlands 3, more information will be coming on April 3rd, so stay tuned.First up on our Borderlands DLC countdown is one of the most recent expansions, coming out at the end of 2019 as an add-on to Borderlands 3. Suffice it to say that if you never played the original Borderlands, next week will be a good time to try it out. Two new random weapons when creating a new character, six new Legendary weapons, and more customization options are also on the menu. Furthermore, if you’ve played Borderlands 2 or Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on PC, you’ll receive 75 free Golden Keys.
No additional DLC is required either – once the upgrade is live, you get all of the new tweaks, including the four expansions, completely free. Along with four player co-op, a mini-map, remastered visuals, and a tougher final boss with more rewards, this edition will include all of the DLC.
